The big stories
Kabul falls. Not in 3 months (as earlier suggested by the “experts”), not in 2 months, not in weeks, but in days, or rather, in hours. 20 years, trillions of dollars, thousands of lives, all reduced to dust in a matter of days. “The Afghan government” and the “Afghan military” were never a real thing - they were just fantasies. Only the U.S. dollars and military might was holding back Taliban from taking over the entire country for the last 20 years. As soon as the military started emptying out the bases, flip-flops wearing goat-herders with AK-47s took over the cities without any resistance. Here’s what Dementia Joe said just last month, on July 8:
US President’s new foreign policy: Begging! After nuking the keystone pipeline, Sleepy Joe, this week, begged the OPEC members to increase their production levels to alleviate the supply crunch and bring-down the soaring gas prices. Details. Also, he begged the Taliban to spare the U.S. embassy in Kabul. Details

Let’s foment a controversy
This week’s topic can’t be anything else — Should the U.S. have pulled-out of Afghanistan now, at the peak of “fighting season?” Would waiting for the Winter to arrive have been better? Question is not IF the U.S. should have pulled-out, but was the timing and the pace right? Let me know!
Thanks for reading! Will see ya next week!
