That being said, of course, All Lives Matter, every darn human being - white, black, brown, yellow, blue, LGBTQ - deserves a shot at life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! I treat everyone the same - whatever a person’s skin color, political beliefs, and economic status may be. The only things that matter in life are hard work, character, and intellect. 2020. Un-effing-precedented year. Massive Australian wildfires, Qasem Soleimani & high tensions with Iran, Boeing 737 Max, Carlos Ghosn’s dramatic escape, Impeachment, the virus with a 1000 names (Covid-19, Coronavirus, China Virus, CCP Virus, Kung-Flu, the Rona…), the lockdowns, Sweden’s unique (and right) approach to remain open, performances of “do as I say, you plebeians” starring Gov. Cuomo, Dr. Fauci, Dr. Birx, Gov. Newsom, Gov. Whitmer, Prof. Neil Ferguson and countless others, criticism of Elon Musk for him being pro-freedom, Americans launching to space on American-made rocket from American soil after almost a decade, George Floyd, the “peaceful” protests, the rise of pro-socialism, pro-communism, anti-cop, anti-America sentiment, the Pentagon giving legitimacy to the UFO videos, massive Trump rallies, Biden gaffes and a non-existent campaign, RBG, 3rd justice of the SCOTUS by the 45th POTUS, two ‘October surprises’ - Trump contracting the rona and Hunter Biden laptop, the latter suppressed by the media & the establishment machine, calls to repeal Section 230, the weird election, the humongous margins by which the “experts & pollsters” were wrong, the dizzying highs of the stock market, and much much more. I hate drama and sensationalisation, but, gotta give it to 2020 - it could make even the comatose feel things.
I was never very political. I used to watch mainstream news - CNN, BBC, follow “reputed” outlets - The NYT, The WaPo, Axios, The WSJ and listen to the “experts” and “professionals” from various fields like medical, finance, economics etc. But, oh boy, when the so-called “red-pill” hits you, you come to realise how fake and manipulative these organisations really are. Here are just a few things the media hid from you, manipulated, or downright lied about:
The Russia collusion and the Ukrainian phone call which was the only reason behind the sham impeachment
The “peaceful” protests. I mean, Ali Velshi of MSNBC is standing in front of a burning building and saying, “the protests have been largely peaceful.”
Hiding actual statistics of unarmed black men being shot by the police (11, yes, just 11, in all of 2019, as per the Washington Post database - see for yourself) and promoting ‘Critical Race Theory.’
Suppressing the skyrocketing crime rates in NYC, Chicago, London and calling CHAZ / CHOP a “summer of love”
Lying about Trump being a racist and having never condemned white supremacy
Helping Biden remain hidden in the basement and giving him super-softball questions every single time
Suppressing and censoring the New York Post story on Hunter Biden (the contents of his laptop and his China dealings). Keep in mind, the New York Post is not just any publication — it is the 4th largest newspaper in circulation and it was founded by, none other than, Alexander Hamilton.
Thought-policing and canceling all “non-compliant” voices. Don’t take my word for it - read a reputed, liberal journalist, Beri Weiss’s letter of resignation from the New York Times
The exodus of people and businesses from California and NYC to Texas and Florida
The hypocrisy of “rules for thee, but not for me” people like Newsom who dines at the French Laundry after ordering the entire state to lockdown, Nancy Pelosi who gets her hair done at a salon without a mask, Gretchen Whitmer who marches hand-in-hand with BLM protestors, but strips a small barber of his license for daring to open his shop, the Austin mayor who parties in Cabo while asking Texans to hunker down.
The absolute fear-mongering and madness around Covid. Seriously, do your own research, read reports by the CDC, and follow Alex Berenson on Twitter (so long as he is not suspended by Lord Dorsey). You’ll be shocked. The overall deaths for 2020 are tracking to be less than the total number of deaths in 2019 - this, despite the insane death stats you’re being shown for Covid - check out literature on PCR testing cycles and how hospitals are classifying deaths, or better, watch these 3 short JRE videos - 1, 2, 3.
All this media malpractice, combined with social media platforms acting like the arbiters of truth and censoring all non-mainstream thoughts, the attack on people’s freedoms all over the world, the coastal-elite’s disdain for the working class, the globalists’ hopes of achieving a “great reset” of the world order — was it 2020 or George Orwell’s 1984?
To try to understand what’s really happening, I now watch & follow Fox, Newsmax, OANN, Axios, Breitbart, WSJ, The Gateway Pundit, independent journalists & columnists, a li’l bit of CNN, NYT, Bloomberg and read over 150 newsletters every week. To my utter dismay, even the “fun” newsletters I read have gotten extremely political and super-woke. There’s no good source left on the Internet to get legit news, no-BS commentary, and politics-free fun & interesting things to watch. I truly believe the “information warfare,” the “facts manipulation,” the “social media thunder-domes” may very well be ‘The Great Filter’ humanity must pass in order to ensure survival for centuries to come.
I will try to build a ‘Pass the Great Filter’ community that reads unbiased world news & business stories backed by facts and legit sources, that gets excited by the tremendous scientific advancements humans are making in Space, AI, BioTech, that loves non-mainstream & non-political music/arts/fun, and that recognises Elon Musk as a true visionary and meme-lord. :)
